Internet Chat Rooms

Out of curiosity I’m just wondering if there’s any decent chatrooms left on the internet?? Years ago I use to go to a room on excite but it’s since been shut down. I know there’s rooms on yahoo and msn but any time I ever went into any of them there was just a bunch of kids in them horsing around. And some times I just want to go and talk to other adults about nothing in particular and everything in general. I know there’s a chatroom on Squidoo but there’s not always people there anymore or they’re busy doing other things, understandable considering it is a Squidoo chatroom. I don’t want to have to download anything in order to talk to people, all I want is simply a chatroom that you can go to a few laughs on occassion with other adults. Anyone have any good suggestions??

My time management needs an overhaul if I am to make another 20 lenses by the June Giant deadline, so I think getting involved in any chatrooms is probably a bad idea for this lensmaster!

I’ve never really been involved with chat rooms, too much bad stuff lurking there. Maybe joining a forum on a topic you’re interested in would be a good place to meet people and discuss things. (parenting, coping with loss, gardening, whatever) I’m not even a member of sites like Facebook but I do know some people do actually join them just for social purposes…I assume there is a chat feature???

I am on twitter but no one actually talks on there. All you get is just “go here” or “go there” stuff.

Facebook doesn’t have a chatroom to my knowledge but then I’ve never really delved into it like some people have. There’s actually bad stuff all over the internet
I’m not looking for any kind of dating site or anything, not looking to meet anyone just normal day to day chit chat on occasion with other adults.
